Welcome to ADS Chauffeur Training and thank you for taking an interest in our courses. After 30 years in the profession, Andy Dubberley has long known there is no such thing as a generic chauffeur role, or indeed a generic passenger, and that’s why he decided upon an alternative approach to training within our profession.
Our bespoke instructional packages are unique, because they’re adapted and delivered one-on-one, fully taking into account an individual chauffeurs’ particular role, what that role involves and the specific wishes and expectations of their principal(s) and/or employer.
Whilst we live and work in an era of unparalleled technology in regards to the vehicles we drive and the array of gadgetry we have at our fingertips to assist us, the essence and ethos of being a personal chauffeur is still steeped in tradition and the exceptional standards needed to be competent and successful in the profession at the highest levels.
It’s the importance we place on those long-held and traditional in-service standards, as well as emphasising the vital interpersonal skills required, that sets these training packages apart. Being a personal chauffeur is a skilled and privileged position, and anyone who thinks it’s ’just driving’ is undoubtedly misinformed or ignorant to the realities of the role!
Andy Dubberley has spent three decades as personal chauffeur and security for an eclectic client-base consisting of captains of industry, international private families and legendary names in the arts and entertainment.
Although still operationally active with a small number of clients, Andy also delivers bespoke and tailored training packages to individuals who are either taking up the role of personal chauffeur, or looking to further enhance their existing skillset.
Andy is typically requested by corporations, organisations and private households who need to provide their in-house chauffeurs with a tailored training package that ensures the necessary level of competence to carry out their role to an exceptional standard.
Although tailored to each student and in many cases, the requirements of their employer and the role, Andy’s instructional packages normally contain three main elements-Chauffeur Skills, (etiquette and the ‘soft skills’, Enhanced Driving Skills and Security Awareness).
If and when applicable, Andy also encourages input from employers pre-training, so they’re able to discuss the requirements of the role from their perspective, as well as giving them the opportunity to highlight any elements they wish to be included.
The amount of time and level of instruction required for each element is dependent on an individuals’ existing skill set, experience and ability, or they may of course be completely new to the profession. Typically, training is delivered over three or four consecutive days, although it is possible to split the course if it’s more convenient.
Instruction takes place using the clients’ vehicle and at a location of their choosing. Cost and duration is dependent on various factors so please do contact us to discuss individual requirements.
Please note that this is NOT accredited training and we are unconnected with any other organisation or awarding body. Our training packages are the choice of clients who want the advantage of bespoke and unique practical instruction, delivered by someone with extensive and credible knowledge and experience within the profession.
Each student receives certification on completion of training as evidence of learning.
